What do these specs mean?

Understanding Thermal Specs

Thermal Resolution

Think of this like a TV screen (e.g., 1280x1024). A higher number means more pixels. More pixels give you a sharper, more detailed image, allowing you to digitally zoom in much further before the image gets blurry or pixelated.

Thermal Lens

Similar to a camera lens, measured in millimeters (e.g., 50mm). A larger lens gathers more thermal energy and "sees" further, giving you a longer detection range. However, larger lenses typically result in a narrower field of view.

Pixel Interval (Pitch)

The physical distance between pixels on the sensor, measured in microns (e.g., 12µm). A smaller number means the pixels are packed tighter together, which produces a crisper image and extends your optical magnification without needing a massive lens.

NETD (Thermal Sensitivity)

Measures how tiny of a temperature difference the device can detect. Lower is better (e.g., < 15mK beats < 25mK). A lower NETD means you get a much clearer picture in terrible weather (rain, thick fog, high humidity) and superior contrast between the animal and its surroundings.

Thermal FOV (Field of View)

How wide of an area you can see at once. A wider FOV is excellent for scanning large areas quickly to spot movement. A narrower FOV usually means the device has higher magnification, perfect for identifying specific targets at long distances.

Understanding the Math

We believe in honest, real-world field specifications.

Detection ranges are calculated by taking the manufacturer's baseline testing and physically scaling it to the average height of the target animal.

Recognition & Identification are calculated using Johnson's Criteria—the military standard for thermal optics. By analyzing the physical properties of the camera's lens and sensor pitch, we calculate exactly when the target will take up enough pixels on your screen to be clearly identified.

Note: High humidity, thick coats, and environmental background temperatures will reduce these maximum optical distances in the field.

Product Overview

World-First 8K Digital Day & Night Vision Bi-spectrum Binoculars

The Nocpix OMNI H35R pairs multispectral capability with the world's first 8K-class digital sensor in a dual-spectrum binocular. Delivering an 8192 × 6144 resolution with a 1.2 µm pixel pitch, the optical channel works through a 50mm F1.8 lens to provide detailed day, dusk, and low-light observation. Coupled with an included detachable 850nm IR illuminator, the digital system captures fine environmental textures, horn and antler geometry, and anatomical details across extended night-time distances.

Dual-Spectrum Synergy: 640×512 Sub-15mK Thermal & 35mm F0.9 Optics

True multispectral dominance comes from pairing high-definition digital optics with a flagship-grade thermal engine. The H35R integrates an uncooled 640 × 512 @ 12 µm VOx detector boasting extreme NETD ≤ 15mK thermal sensitivity, fronted by a large-aperture 35mm F0.9 germanium objective lens. This dual-engine architecture gives you the best of both worlds: use the thermal channel's expansive 24.3 m × 18.2 m field of view to instantly detect heat signatures obscured by thick brush, fog, or pitch darkness out to 1,800 meters, then leverage the digital channel to confirm anatomical detail and surroundings without switching devices.

Picture-in-Picture Dual Vision & Specialized Night Vision Palettes

Adapting to shifting field conditions is effortless with the H35R's advanced cross-channel viewing modes. The integrated Picture-in-Picture (PIP) function allows simultaneous dual-spectrum observation—place a magnified digital window over a thermal overview to lock onto a target while tracking movement, or run a thermal PIP window over full-color digital sight picture. For digital observation, switch between dedicated palettes including Day, Dusk, Moon, Green, Yellow, and Auto to match ambient light, prevent night blindness, and maximize target contrast through twilight and total darkness.

Immersive Dual AMOLED Viewing & Triple Battery Architecture

Dual 1600 × 1200 AMOLED displays with horizontal interpupillary distance adjustment, 25mm eye relief, and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) eliminate observation strain and motion blur during long glassing sessions. Power is managed through a three-battery system—combining an internal rechargeable power reserve with two swappable, non-polarity 18650 batteries—delivering up to 7.5 hours of continuous operation with uninterrupted hot-swap capability.
