What do these specs mean?

Understanding Thermal Specs

Thermal Resolution

Think of this like a TV screen (e.g., 1280x1024). A higher number means more pixels. More pixels give you a sharper, more detailed image, allowing you to digitally zoom in much further before the image gets blurry or pixelated.

Thermal Lens

Similar to a camera lens, measured in millimeters (e.g., 50mm). A larger lens gathers more thermal energy and "sees" further, giving you a longer detection range. However, larger lenses typically result in a narrower field of view.

Pixel Interval (Pitch)

The physical distance between pixels on the sensor, measured in microns (e.g., 12µm). A smaller number means the pixels are packed tighter together, which produces a crisper image and extends your optical magnification without needing a massive lens.

NETD (Thermal Sensitivity)

Measures how tiny of a temperature difference the device can detect. Lower is better (e.g., < 15mK beats < 25mK). A lower NETD means you get a much clearer picture in terrible weather (rain, thick fog, high humidity) and superior contrast between the animal and its surroundings.

Thermal FOV (Field of View)

How wide of an area you can see at once. A wider FOV is excellent for scanning large areas quickly to spot movement. A narrower FOV usually means the device has higher magnification, perfect for identifying specific targets at long distances.

Understanding the Math

We believe in honest, real-world field specifications.

Detection ranges are calculated by taking the manufacturer's baseline testing and physically scaling it to the average height of the target animal.

Recognition & Identification are calculated using Johnson's Criteria—the military standard for thermal optics. By analyzing the physical properties of the camera's lens and sensor pitch, we calculate exactly when the target will take up enough pixels on your screen to be clearly identified.

Note: High humidity, thick coats, and environmental background temperatures will reduce these maximum optical distances in the field.
Key Features & Highlights

Nocpix Omni L19R Key Features:

  • Simultaneous Dual-Spectrum Fusion & PIP: Transition between thermal detection and digital night vision with a single button press, or run both concurrently using Picture-in-Picture (PIP) to spot heat signatures in heavy brush while maintaining photographic optical context.
  • Ultra-Fast F0.9 Thermal Optics: The 19mm F0.9 germanium lens maximizes infrared light transmission compared to standard F1.0 systems, yielding an expansive 21.9 m × 16.5 m linear field of view at 100 meters (12.5° × 9.4°) for sweeping, efficient area scans.
  • Ultra-High-Definition Digital Day/Night Sensor: Boasting an 8K-class 8192 × 6144 digital detector (1.2 µm), daylight and low-light modes reveal detailed facial, trophy, and environmental features beyond the reach of standard optical binoculars.
  • 1,000m Integrated Laser Rangefinder & Ballistics: Range targets out to 1,000 meters in either single-ping or continuous scanning modes, supported by an onboard ballistic calculation engine with up to 5 user profiles.
  • Triple Battery Endurance System: Features three independent power sources—one internal rechargeable battery pack complemented by two swappable 18650 batteries housed in a non-polarity compartment, providing up to 7.5 hours of continuous operation.
  • Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS): Digital and Thermal EIS smooth out hand tremors during handheld scanning, preserving image clarity across the entire 1x to 8x digital zoom range
Product Overview

The Nocpix OMNI L19R sets a benchmark in multispectral observation as the world's first dual-spectrum binocular equipped with an 8K-class digital sensor. Delivering a massive 8192 × 6144 resolution with a fine 1.2 µm pixel architecture, the digital optical channel pairs with a 50mm F1.8 objective lens to provide photographic sharpness. Whether observing wildlife in full daylight, navigating dusk conditions, or illuminating nocturnal quarry, the ultra-high-definition sensor captures fine textures, facial features, and trophy characteristics far beyond the reach of standard 1080p or 4K observation devices.

Sub-15mK Thermal Detection with Ultra-Fast F0.9 Optics

Beneath the digital daylight channel lies an advanced 384 × 288 @ 12 µm uncooled VOx infrared detector operating at a sensitivity of NETD ≤ 15mK. Paired with a fast 19mm F0.9 germanium lens, the L19R dramatically enhances thermal light transmission to reveal heat signatures through heavy rain, snow, fog, and dense foliage out to 1,000 meters. With an expansive 24.3 m × 18.2 m field of view at 100 meters, hunters can effortlessly scan large tracts of open bush, pinpoint bedded game, and switch between optical channels instantly with dedicated Picture-in-Picture (PIP) fusion.

Integrated 1,000m Laser Rangefinder & Onboard Ballistics

Precision field assessment requires accurate distance measurement. The OMNI L19R features an integrated Class 1 eye-safe Laser Rangefinder (LRF) capable of instant single-ping measurements and continuous dynamic tracking out to 1,000 meters. Supporting an onboard Ballistic Calculation engine with up to 5 user-configurable bullet and rifle profiles, the binocular pairs range and environmental parameters to generate a clear recommended point of impact, ensuring seamless coordination between observation and shot placement.

Immersive Dual AMOLED Viewing & Triple Battery Endurance

Engineered for extended glassing sessions without eye fatigue, the L19R features binocular dual-eye viewing through high-contrast 1600 × 1200 AMOLED displays with adjustable interpupillary distance, 25mm eye relief, and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). To power long nights in remote terrain, Nocpix utilizes a three-battery architecture: an integrated internal power reserve running in tandem with two swappable 18650 batteries in a non-polarity compartment, delivering up to 7.5 hours of continuous operation alongside instant hot-swap flexibility.
